Filed in: Coat Rack
With the barn board being so hard to come by, even the smaller pieces left over have to be used up. A coat rack for an entryway seems like the perfect way to do it.
Wood Pecker Wine Racks

This started out as a log, After sitting near the shop for sometime and drying out, it was ready to peel. Boring the holes into the wood on an angle allows this rack to hold 12 bottles of wine. The Base plate is from some old, no longer in use, railroad tracks on Chuckanut drive in Washington State. A coat of water based polyurethane will keep this protected indefinitely.

Barn Board Trestle Table
Filed in: Table
All this wood was locally sourced. The Beams for the trestle and bench legs came out of a marina near Vancouver airport. The barn boards used in the cladding all came off a barn about 2 km from my shop. The picture of the barn was taken before 168st existed. The barn is the big building in the top left corner of the photo.
